TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the contract is to build a new section of two cycle expressway routes, namely the F423 and the F424. This new section provides a direct connection between the cycle route at the Dutch border and the existing F40, the Great Cycle Ring around Ghent. In addition, the missing link of the existing cycle expressway F423, which connects Eeklo and Assenede to Zelzate, is also connected to this new section. In order to connect the Dutch cycle route (on the eastern side of the railway line) to the F423 and the F40 (connection to Tweede-Gidsenlaan on the western side of the railway line), a cycle underpass is provided beneath the railway line.
