TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this tender document is to define the technical requirements that must govern the contracting for the manufacture and supply of the contactless cards that serve as the physical container for the ATM transport passes within the integrated fare system of the Lleida Area. With the aim of improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the existing public transport network, the ATM implemented in 2008, within the territorial scope of the Lleida Area, the fare integration project, technologically based on the use of chip cards and contactless communications as the physical support for the multi-ride transport passes offered by the ATM and valid for all public transport operators that have joined the system. The operation of the equipment and systems that make up the technological basis of the integrated fare system of the Lleida Area is based on a set of technical specifications which, in the particular case at hand, specify the type of cards and the technical conditions for their issuance.
