TENDER DESCRIPTION

The VRS intends to commission advisory services for further supporting the design implementation and mock-up of the rail vehicles to be procured by the EVU. The services of the consultant being tendered include in particular supporting the contracting authority in all design-related matters in connection with vehicle procurement—both during the entire procurement procedure for the procurement of rail transport services for the Stuttgart S-Bahn and during the implementation phase. After commissioning of the vehicles, the contractor supports the contracting authority in all design matters during the warranty phase. In particular, the contractor supports the contracting authority in identifying and assessing design defects, in the professional monitoring of remedial measures, and in reviewing and assessing the proper design implementation as part of the defect rectification. The task of the selected consultant is also to support the contracting authority in involving stakeholders as part of the vehicle design process.
