TENDER DESCRIPTION

The VRS intends to commission advisory services for further support of the design implementation and design approval (mock-up) of the rail vehicles to be procured by the EVU. The services of the consultant to be tendered include in particular supporting the contracting authority with regard to all design-related issues in connection with the vehicle procurement—both throughout the entire procurement procedure for the procurement of the rail passenger transport services for the Stuttgart S-Bahn and during the implementation phase. After commissioning of the vehicles, the contractor supports the contracting authority in all design matters during the warranty phase. In particular, the contractor supports the contracting authority in identifying and assessing design defects, in providing technical guidance for remedial measures, and in reviewing and assessing the proper design implementation as part of the rectification of defects. In addition, the task of the selected consultant is to support the contracting authority in involving stakeholders in the vehicle design process.
