TENDER DESCRIPTION

At the site of the Wilhelm-von-Oranien-School (WvO) in Dillenburg, the four-court sports hall (Nassau-Oranien-Halle) was built in the 1980s on Mühlenstraße, at the corner of Hof-Feldbach-Straße. Due to its intensive use as a sports hall—among other things for more than 1,200 students of the WvO as well as for additional school and out-of-school bookings (for example by surrounding clubs or by disaster protection)—the sports hall has a need for comprehensive and energy-related renovation. The renovation of the sports hall is intended to secure child-appropriate physical education at the school site in Dillenburg. In addition, it should continue to allow many clubs to use the hall outside school hours in order to ensure the sporting benefit as well. The wide variety of clubs, differentiated in terms of sport and age, constitutes an important social component for the city and beyond. Moreover, higher energy efficiency is to be achieved through the renovation and, if possible, additionally the installation of photovoltaic systems for sustainable operation of the building.
