TENDER DESCRIPTION

At the site of the Wilhelm-von-Oranien-Schule (WvO) in Dillenburg, the 4-court sports hall (Nassau-Oranien-Halle) was built in the 1980s on Mühlenstraße, at the corner with Hof-Feldbach-Straße. Due to its intensive use as a sports hall, including for more than 1,200 students of the WvO as well as other school-related and extracurricular uses (e.g. by surrounding clubs or civil protection), there is a need for fundamental and energy-related renovation. The renovation of the sports hall is intended to ensure child-appropriate physical education at the school location in Dillenburg. In addition, many clubs should continue to be able to use the hall outside school hours in order to ensure the continued sporting benefit. The diverse range of clubs, differentiated by sport and age, constitutes an important social component for the city and beyond. In addition, the project aims to achieve higher energy efficiency through the renovation and, where possible, to install photovoltaic systems for sustainable operation of the building.
