TENDER DESCRIPTION

1. The Police Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main is the largest area headquarters of the Hessian police. With the construction of the building and the police taking occupancy in 2002, ventilation technology has been in operation 24/7. The Police Headquarters Frankfurt am Main has 226 ventilation systems with approximately 3,000 fire dampers. The fire dampers are intended to close in the event of a fire and to protect escape routes and rescue routes from fire for a sufficient period of time, thereby enabling people to escape safely from the building. The fire dampers are tested every 3 years as part of an inspection in accordance with the Regulation on the Inspection of Technical Systems and Installations in Buildings (TPrüfVO). The inspection included the technical systems as well as the fire protection measures taken for them regarding their effectiveness and operational safety. In doing so, the principles for the inspection of technical systems and installations in accordance with the building law inspection regulation were observed by building-law-recognized experts. During the process, defects were identified in approximately 750 fire dampers that need to be rectified.…
