New construction of an extension building with integrated triple gymnasium for the Josef-Hofmiller-Gymnasium including demolition of existing buildings on the school premises - SP ELT LPH 1 - 9 The district of Freising intends to expand the Josef-Hofmiller-Gymnasium in Freising at the existing school location. Due to increasing student numbers (forecast of approximately 1,180–1,257 students by 2038), additional space is required, especially for class, specialist, and teacher areas. The existing school complex was built in several phases since 1960 and shows functional deficiencies, structural defects, as well as inadequate spatial organization. There is also a significant need for renovation of the existing buildings. The existing swimming and sports hall is structurally heavily damaged and is no longer in use.
