TENDER DESCRIPTION

For connected, highly automated and, in the long term, autonomous driving, communication between vehicles and, above all, between traffic-engineering infrastructure and vehicles plays a crucial role. At international level, cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) with corresponding services were specified and harmonised for this purpose. Initial applications of these services, for example the prioritisation of emergency vehicles and of public passenger transport (ÖPNV) vehicles, are already increasingly being implemented today. In the case of information exchange in direct communication, this takes place between so-called On Board Units (OBU) in the vehicles and Road Side Units (RSU) on the part of the traffic-engineering infrastructure, mainly at traffic signal systems (LSA). The focus of the intended research project is on the information sent by RSUs to LSA regarding the node topology in the form of the MAPEM message (Map extended Message) and regarding the signalling state in the form of a SPATEM message (Signal Phase and Timing extended Message).
