TENDER DESCRIPTION

The standardized binders lime and cement are effective when used for soil treatment. The disadvantage, however, is that limes and cements cause high CO2 emissions. It is therefore intended to investigate which alternative binders can be used for sustainable soil treatment. For the standardized binder cement, the aim is to achieve a better CO2 balance through clinker-reduced cements. However, the reduction in clinker phases also means a reduction in the components that form strength. In this regard, it would be necessary to examine through suitability tests whether the clinker-reduced cements can be used for soil treatment. The addition of ash (e.g. paper ash, fly ash) causes a change in the soil’s compaction properties as well as strength development. For ashes, in addition to questions about the mechanism of action, there are also questions about the consistently uniform and reliable composition (variation range of the composition) and about environmentally relevant constituents.
