Using the laser pulses provided by the existing laser (Light Conversion PHAROS 2 SP) (pulse length approx. 200 fs, pulse energy up to 1 mJ), two types of pulses shall be generated: 1) Broadband white-light pulses (WL) in the spectral range 350 nm – 1250 nm (1 eV – 3.5 eV) with a maximum chirp over the required wavelength range of 2 ps. 2) Pulses (PUMP): System for generating pulses with low bandwidth (a limitation of the bandwidth can, if necessary, be carried out subsequently using existing technology in the laboratory; the key point is that an output spectrum with sufficiently high energy is provided—see evaluation criterion LOS1-5), optionally using pre-compressed pulses. If the PHAROS pulses are used directly, up to 500 μJ of pulse energy are available at the input.
