TENDER DESCRIPTION

General Building Description The residential building with commercial use as a quiet business on the ground floor is located at Bornholmer Straße 8 in 10439 Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. It was built in 1906 as a typical Gründerzeit masonry building in closed construction style. Due to the S-shaped building extension, the front building, the 1st side wing, the cross-building, and the 2nd side wing with a rear building are arranged around two courtyards. The exterior facades and the passageways are insulated to reduce heat loss. All windows/balcony doors will be replaced with new plastic insulating windows according to the energy specifications provided by the building physicist. According to the ventilation concept according to DIN 1946-6, all windows/balcony doors of the apartments are equipped with sufficient supply air elements (window rebate ventilators and ALDs in the front building) for controlled air exchange. The main entrance doors will be newly produced or restored as carpenter-made according to historical models.
