TENDER DESCRIPTION
General Description of Construction The residential building with commercial use as a quiet business on the ground floor is located at Bornholmer Straße 8 in 10439 Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. It was built in 1906 as a typical masonry building of the Wilhelminian period in a closed construction style. Due to the S-shaped building extension, the front building, the 1st side wing, the transverse building, and the 2nd side wing with a rear building are arranged around two courtyards. The exterior façades and the passageways are insulated to reduce heat loss. All windows / balcony doors will be replaced with new plastic insulated windows according to the energy specifications from the building physicist. According to the ventilation concept pursuant to DIN 1946-6, all windows / balcony doors of the apartments are equipped with sufficient supply air elements (window rebate ventilators and supply air devices in the front building) for controlled air exchange. The entrance doors are newly manufactured or restored as carpentry work following historical models.
