TENDER DESCRIPTION

In the centre of the city of Hanau is the (retail) building of the department store group Galeria S.à r.l. & Co. KG, built in 1957 (formerly Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof GmbH). Following termination of its use, it is owned by the city of Hanau and is to be developed by the city into the “Stadthof Hanau”. The building is intended to house retail outlets, restaurants, exhibition and public areas, as well as offices. For this reason, the contracting authority intends to modernise and revitalise the Stadthof Hanau building and, for this purpose, to carry out the necessary construction measures. The subject of this procurement procedure is the award of a contract for the installation of lifting equipment (elevators and escalators) in the Stadthof Hanau building (hereinafter “services”). These form part of the required trades/packages for the modernisation and revitalisation of the Stadthof Hanau.
