TENDER DESCRIPTION

Pursuant to § 85(2) item 8 of Book Eight (VIII) of the Social Code (SGB), the State Youth Office has the statutory duty to offer further training for employees of child and youth welfare. Continuous further training is an indispensable prerequisite for maintaining and improving the qualifications of the employees. The continuing education mandate covers the entire catalogue of tasks of child and youth welfare and applies to all employees, both with public and with non-public providers. The annual conference provides space to become familiar with the basic ideas of the new Saxon Education and Training Plan (SEBP), to reflect on its opportunities for practice and to develop concrete ways for successful implementation. The focus is on the question of how the education plan can provide guidance, convey security and support everyday educational work - without being experienced as “one more thing on top”. At the same time, the new SEBP makes clear that education, upbringing and care in daycare centres (Kitas), after-school care (Horte) and child day care (Kindertagespflege) are equally based on shared professional foundations.
