TENDER DESCRIPTION

As part of the so-called “Lower Saxony Way”, NLWKN carries out, on behalf of the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection, investigations of pollutants in surface waters throughout Lower Saxony in order to verify the effectiveness of riparian buffer strips, among other things with respect to the entry of plant protection products into surface waters (in accordance with NWG § 58). This is intended to be carried out with particular focus on water bodies of the second and third order as well as on the exception framework of agricultural landscapes with a high density of water bodies. For this purpose, water samples from a total of 26 surface water measurement points within the year 2027 are to be analysed on a monthly basis for up to 162 defined individual compounds (primarily plant protection products, metabolites, wastewater indicators) in the overall water phase.
