TENDER DESCRIPTION

The COMUE Lyon Saint Etienne, on behalf of and for the account of the CNSMD de Lyon, is carrying out the refurbishment of the SAONE building and its extension, with a view to the construction of a modular hall (auditorium). The archaeological assessment for this area has been carried out and it reveals the presence of significant archaeological remains. In light of the findings of this assessment, the prefect, by Order No. 2026-641 of 3 July 2026, ordered the carrying out of preventive excavations prior to the development works in the said area. The Bidding Documents (DCE) include in particular the Special Administrative Clauses (CCAP), the Special Technical Clauses and their appendices, in particular the Scientific Requirements Document (CCS). The latter specifies the scope, objectives and content of the preventive excavation mission. This contract therefore has as its purpose the carrying out of preventive archaeological excavations.
