The demographic dynamism of the territory of Thonon Agglomération results in densification of urban areas. This densification leaves less and less space for waste management. The multiplication of voluntary drop-off points (PAV) in turn increases nuisances for users and raises constraints related to parking in the areas where they are installed. In this context, compaction containers appear to meet the needs of the local authority: reduced land footprint, reduced collection time, and an estimated number of households per unit multiplied by 4 or 5.
