TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the refurbishment, new construction and refurbishment of the sports hall at BBS Varel, architectural services are being tendered. The Berufsbildenden Schulen (BBS) Varel have developed, since their establishment at the beginning of the 1960s, into a versatile educational location through numerous structural extensions. Today, the school site comprises several building sections from different construction periods, which meet the diverse requirements of vocational education in the fields of business, technology, health, social pedagogy, agricultural economics, as well as nutrition and home economics. Due to the advanced age of the buildings, there are now significant construction, functional and technical deficiencies. Particularly serious is the closure of a workshop area in building section 7 in 2024 as a result of significant structural damage and mould infestation. The relocation of practice-oriented teaching required as a result to temporary rooms is only a short-term transitional solution and will sustainably impair school operations.
