TENDER DESCRIPTION

Reason and objective: The Gründerzeit Anlagenring in Offenbach am Main is a historic ring road with adjoining tree-lined promenades, green spaces, and parks. The Anlagenring was developed from the late 19th century in several sections and runs arc-shaped around the southern inner city. It connects different urban spaces from the western city area via the Isenburgring and Starkenburgring towards Offenbach East. Today, the Anlagenring as a whole is a cultural monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act. The competition area covers a section of the Anlagenring at the southern edge of the inner city in the transition area of Isenburgring, Starkenburgring, and Sprendlinger Landstraße. South of the competition area is the Sana Klinikum Offenbach. The former municipal hospital has expanded structurally into the Anlagenring during its development, thus interrupting the continuity of the historic open space structure at this location. In the course of the reorganization of the now privatized clinic areas, the plots located in the axis of the Anlagenring were reacquired by the city of Offenbach.
