Within the project “Purchase of new trams – Purchase of public transport vehicles – 22 m trams at the level of the Municipality of Iași” SMIS 354270, the purchase of 10 trams of approx. 22 m with fully lowered floor, one-directional, equipped with ITS equipment is proposed, for the public passenger transport service from the city of Iași, intended to renew the existing fleet, in order to improve the quality of the urban public transport service. The purchase of new trams is absolutely necessary because it contributes to improving the quality of public transport services and, at the same time, to reducing carbon emissions from transport, noise pollution and energy consumption, thereby increasing the attractiveness of public transport, and with the final result of improving the quality of the surrounding environment and increasing the well-being of residents.
