TENDER DESCRIPTION

The object of the public procurement contract that is intended to be awarded is the supply of a number of 3 units of plug-in hybrid minibuses within the project “Green School Transport for Students in Mehedinți County”, with a capacity of 16 + 1 seats. The UAT Mehedinți County obtained the funding granted by the Administration of the Environmental Fund, under the programme regarding improving air quality and reducing the amount of greenhouse gas, by using student transport with vehicles that are less polluting such as electric minibuses, hybrid ones and those powered by compressed natural gas. Not all schools in Mehedinți County can ensure the transport of students to and from school, while others have means of transport that do not ensure transport under optimum conditions for students and have a high level of carbon emissions, affecting environmental quality; for this reason, this procurement was considered appropriate.
