TENDER DESCRIPTION

This procedure envisages the procurement of a medicine for gene therapy, perceived as the top of the range of personalized therapies, Onasemnogene abeparvovec, necessary for the treatment of patients enrolled in the National Health Program for Rare Diseases - Spinal Muscular Atrophy, who meet the eligibility criteria. After diagnosis, the treatment - which consists of a single dose - requires administration as quickly as possible because the progression of the disease leads to worsening motor deficit and implicitly the quality of life of patients, who will require medical devices to ensure their respiratory and nutritional status (ventilation, gastrostomy, nasogastric tube). For the product subject to this procedure, the order will be initiated by the contracting authority following the detection of a case, exclusively after confirmation of the diagnosis and obtaining the financing approval from the Sibiu County Health Insurance House, within the limits of the funds allocated by the National Health Program for Rare Diseases, Subprogram Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the kit with vials containing the medicine being customized to meet the therapeutic scheme requirements for each patient,…
