TENDER DESCRIPTION

The procurement contributes to the Priority “Social development across borders” and to the specific objective 2.2 of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania–Republic of Moldova Programme: ensuring equal access to medical services and strengthening the resilience of health systems. The contract directly contributes to Activity 1.2 “Medical waste neutralization equipment” and to the deliverables D.1.2.2 and D.1.2.4 assumed by Partner 2. The acquisition of the system will contribute to increasing the resilience and preparedness capacity of health systems in the face of future cross-border epidemic threats, by introducing safe and sustainable solutions for the management and neutralisation, within the hospital premises, of hazardous medical waste. The system will consist of two independent, functionally equivalent technological lines, capable of operating autonomously, alternately or simultaneously. The redundant configuration is intended to ensure operational continuity, reduce biological risk and treat infectious and sharps waste in an integrated, controlled and traceable flow.
