TENDER DESCRIPTION

Notwithstanding repair work already carried out on the Meiningen town church, there is still a substantial need for refurbishment. In particular, the natural stone façades, roof and structural engineering components as well as the historic lead glazing exhibit damage due to age and weather conditions, which requires comprehensive and coordinated refurbishment planning. Against this background, the church is to be maintained in a sustainable manner, taking into account heritage-preservation, structural, restoration-related and economic requirements, and secured in the long term for its future use. The aim is phased implementation of a comprehensive refurbishment with the greatest possible preservation of the historic fabric. For the performance of the planning services, the following specialist lots are awarded as part of this tendering procedure: Lot 1 - Building design (object planning) in accordance with §§ 33 et seq. HOAI Lot 2 - Structural engineering specialist planning in accordance with §§ 49 et seq.
