TENDER DESCRIPTION
Since December 2021, the municipalities of Veenendaal, Rhenen and Renswoude have jointly offered a municipal pass (gemeentePas) to residents on a low income. With the municipal pass, the municipalities of Veenendaal (VeenendaalPas), Rhenen (CuneraPas) and Renswoude (GrebbePas) aim to provide more opportunities for residents on a low income. With the municipal pass, participation for (financially) vulnerable residents is made easier. In 2025 (= reference year), for the three municipalities together it involved approximately 2,100 applications to be processed (a + b), and at the end of the pass year there were approximately 4,850 cardholders. Of the cardholders, approximately 85% are granted automatically (ambtshalve) and approximately 15% via a decision on entitlement following an application. Issuance of the municipal pass takes place both for adults and for their children.
