TENDER DESCRIPTION

Initial situation The existing fire station in the Rommerz district was built in 1963 and was expanded in the years 1967, 1973, 1987, 2001 and 2016. Despite the adjustments made, the building no longer meets today’s functional, technical and safety-related requirements for a modern fire station. In particular, there are shortcomings with regard to operational procedures, separation of clean and contaminated areas (black-white separation), hygiene requirements, occupational safety, accident prevention and the building’s energy quality. Due to the structural conditions and the age of the existing buildings, an economical and technically sensible refurbishment or extension cannot be implemented. Therefore, a new build is required. New build concept In close coordination with the fire brigade, a future-proof spatial and use concept has been developed. The new build includes: • three vehicle bays, • storage areas for a logistics component, • modern changing, sanitary and social areas, • a central laundry room and clothing storage room for the entire municipality, • a station commander’s office, • training and meeting rooms, • premises for the children’s and youth fire brigade.
