TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Verband Region Stuttgart, a public-law corporation and the contracting authority for S-Bahn services and for regionally significant local transport in the Region Stuttgart, awards planning services in the Europe-wide procedure for the introduction of an S-Bahn service on the route between Stuttgart-Vaihingen and Ditzingen-Heimerdingen, in the section between Korntal station and Heimerdingen. Project objective: The basis is a transport concept according to which the Strohgäu Railway is to be connected through via the Panoramabahn to Stuttgart-Vaihingen, and the new line is to be operated on a 30-minute interval between Heimerdingen and Stuttgart-Vaihingen. The objective of the planning is the preparation of a target condition that meets the requirements described in the service profile and all statutory and regulatory framework conditions, and that in particular necessarily complies with the principle of cost-effectiveness.
