TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracting authority, Nerra GmbH, is developing the approximately 26 ha Wedau Technology Quarter (TQW) on the site of the former DB maintenance workshop Duisburg-Wedau North. A future-oriented economic, technology and innovation location is to be created on the site. A prerequisite for the development of the location is an efficient traffic access. The subject of the procedure is the award of general planner services for the planning of a new road connection between Bissingheimer Straße and the main access of the TQW. This requires the underpass of the existing DB line Duisburg-Ratingen West. The measure serves the traffic access of the TQW, the improvement of supraregional traffic connections as well as the creation of an efficient connection for the future district development. The contracting authority has already commissioned initial concept studies and had various access variants examined and evaluated. On this basis, a preferred variant was developed, which forms the basis for the further planning services.
