TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this project is the planning and implementation of a new animal experimentation facility for the Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS e.V.) at the Dortmund site. The new construction will create additional capacities for biomedical research. Provision is made for animal housing areas for laboratory rodents, including SPF keeping (Specific Pathogen Free), open housing and quarantine areas, experimental animal housing rooms, an animal operating theatre, laboratory areas, office and social rooms, as well as all infrastructure, supply and disposal, and technical areas required for operation. The building is designed as a highly installed research facility with special requirements for hygiene, biosafety, supply security and building services equipment. The essential planning objectives are the optimisation of internal operational processes, ensuring high operational flexibility, and the possibility of future expansion of research and animal housing capacities.
