TENDER DESCRIPTION
The subject of this tender is the high and low voltage installations as part of the general renovation of the upper castle of Genovevaburg. The construction site is accessible via the Mario-Adorf-Burgweg. However, this road is only passable to a limited extent. Therefore, delivery by truck or other larger vehicles takes place at the construction site setup area in the Boemundring/Marktplatz area. A crane is available here for material transport. The city of Mayen intends to remodel and modernize the upper castle of Genovevaburg as well as to renovate and expand the existing museum in the upper castle. In addition, rooms are to be created here for the use of the castle festivals. The base area of the upper castle amounts to approximately 30 × 30 m. The building is partially basemented, whereby a part of the basement can be reached directly at ground level via the ascent to the castle. The special feature of the object is that the entire upper castle is under monument protection and therefore special care must be taken during the installation. Inside, the castle largely consists of rubble stone walls and partially also of half-timbered walls. The escape routes must be kept clear…
