TENDER DESCRIPTION

The energy supply company STAWAG - Stadt- und Städteregionswerke Aachen AG, based in Aachen, plans a new combined heat and power plant “Eisenbahnweg”. This procedure concerns the general contractor services for the construction of the gas turbine combined heat and power plant at Eisenbahnweg in Aachen. The contracting authority also intends to conclude a maintenance contract for the duration of the CHP funding period for the gas turbine combined heat and power plant. STAWAG operates an extensive district heating network in Aachen. As part of the network expansion and the transformation to regenerative heat generation, the above-mentioned combined heat and power plant (hereinafter referred to as “CHP plant”) was planned. The site is a former industrial area in the eastern part of Aachen. For reasons related to delivery time, the gas turbines were additionally tendered to this present invitation to tender and ordered from the manufacturer Kawasaki.
