TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contract being tendered comprises 2 sub-awards, and one single overall contract is entered into with one supplier. Sub-award 1 includes ticket inspections on Aarhus Light Rail and the city buses in Aarhus, with the performance of 12,500 inspections on Aarhus Light Rail and 66,250 inspections on the city buses annually. Sub-award 2 includes ticket inspections on buses outside Aarhus, with the performance of 23,800 inspections annually, as well as quality inspections on buses across Midttrafik’s entire area, with the performance of 6,000 inspections annually. The contract is an open-ended contract, under which both parties have the option to terminate the contract with at least 6 months’ notice on Midttrafik’s part and 18 months’ notice on the supplier’s part. The contract may, however, be terminated no earlier than for expiry on 31.12.2031. The contract therefore runs until one of the parties terminates it. There is a requirement for transfer of undertaking of the employees (currently 17) who today carry out ticket inspections on the city buses in Aarhus.
