TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Magdeburg Christmas Market is one of the most traditional and largest Christmas markets in Saxony-Anhalt. It takes place every year on Alten Markt and in the surrounding streets in the heart of the state capital and attracts numerous visitors with its diverse range of offerings and special atmosphere. The origins of the Magdeburg Christmas Market date back to the Late Middle Ages. Today it presents itself as a modern market with traditional elements and is an established part of the pre-Christmas culture in the region. A special highlight is the Historic Kaiser Otto Pfalz next to Alten Rathaus, which, with medieval stalls, craftsmen and artists, takes visitors back to bygone times. Particularly for children, the market offers numerous attractions such as a craft house, a fairy-tale lane with staged stories and a Santa Claus residence.
