Even younger children can carry out simple activities on mobile devices. At the same time, however, they are not yet able to regulate their media consumption themselves, because the health risks are not immediately experienced. Therefore, with this funding measure, the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) aims to improve health protection for children aged 0 to 6 years in the digital world and to counteract the negative health consequences of using screen media in everyday life.
