TENDER DESCRIPTION

The University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR is the nationally recognized expert for difficult, most severe and rare diseases and injuries in southern Saxony-Anhalt. We treat patients of all age groups according to the latest scientific findings and benefit from the close interlinking with the Faculty of Medicine of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. With more than 4,000 employees, the University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR is among Germany’s leading health care centers in university medicine. At the Medizin Campus Steintor, a new building is to be constructed to expand the central cryo storage infrastructure of University Medicine Halle (Saale). This extension new build will be implemented as an annex immediately attached to the already existing central cryo storage building. In the existing building of the central cryo storage, currently only biological samples are stored in deep-freeze storage cabinets or chests at -80°C. Due to the continuous increase in sample numbers and additional requirements for central sample storage, the available areas are largely fully utilized and will be completely exhausted in the foreseeable future.
