TENDER DESCRIPTION

The University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR is the region-wide recognized expert for difficult, most difficult and rare diseases and injuries in the southern part of Saxony-Anhalt. We treat patients of all age groups according to the latest scientific findings and benefit from close integration with the Faculty of Medicine of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. With more than 4,000 employees, the University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR is one of Germany’s leading healthcare centres of university medicine. A new building is to be constructed at the Medizin Campus Steintor to extend the central cryo-storage infrastructure of the University Medicine Halle (Saale). This extension new build will be implemented as an annex directly to the already existing central cryo-storage building. At present, only biological samples are stored in the existing central cryo-storage building in deep-freeze storage cabinets or freezers at -80°C. Due to the continuous increase in sample volume and additional requirements for the central sample storage, the available areas are largely fully utilized and will be completely exhausted in the foreseeable future.
