The Universitätsklinikum Halle (Saale) AöR is the nationally recognized expert for difficult, most severe and rare diseases and injuries in the southern state of Saxony-Anhalt. We treat patients of all age groups according to the latest scientific findings and benefit from close integration with the Faculty of Medicine of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. With more than 4,000 employees, the Universitätsklinikum Halle (Saale) AöR is one of the leading healthcare centers of university medicine in Germany. A new building is to be constructed at the Medizin Campus Steintor to expand the central cryo warehouse infrastructure of Universitätsmedizin Halle (Saale). This extension new building will be realized as an annex directly attached to the already existing central cryo warehouse building. At present, only bioprobes are stored in the existing building of the central cryo warehouse in deep-freeze storage cabinets or chests at -80°C. Due to the continuous growth in the number of samples and additional requirements for central sample storage, the available areas are largely fully utilized and will be completely exhausted in the foreseeable future.
