TENDER DESCRIPTION

The University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR is the regionally recognised expert for difficult, most severe and rare illnesses and injuries in the southern part of Saxony-Anhalt. We treat patients of all age groups according to the latest scientific findings and benefit from the close integration with the Medical Faculty of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. With more than 4,000 employees, the University Hospital Halle (Saale) AöR is one of the leading health centres of university medicine in Germany. At the Medizin Campus Steintor, a new building is to be constructed to expand the central cryostorage infrastructure of University Medicine Halle (Saale). This extension building will be implemented as an addition directly attached to the already existing central cryostorage building. In the existing building of the central cryostorage, currently only biological samples are stored in deep-freeze storage cabinets or chests at -80°C. Due to the continuous growth in the number of samples and additional requirements for the central sample storage, the available areas are largely fully utilised and will be completely exhausted in the foreseeable future.
