TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Universitätsklinikum Halle (Saale) AöR is the regionally recognized expert across the region for difficult, extremely severe and rare illnesses and injuries in southern Saxony-Anhalt. We treat patients of all age groups according to the latest scientific findings, and benefit from the close interlinking with the Faculty of Medicine of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. With more than 4,000 employees, Universitätsklinikum Halle (Saale) AöR is among the leading healthcare centres of academic medicine in Germany. A new building is to be constructed at the Medizin Campus Steintor to expand the central cryo-storage infrastructure of the Universitätsmedizin Halle (Saale). This extension new-build is to be implemented as an annex directly attached to the already existing central cryo-storage building. In the existing central cryo-storage building, biopreparations are currently stored exclusively in deep-freeze storage cabinets or chests at -80°C. Due to the continuous increase in sample volume and additional requirements for central sample storage, the available floor areas are largely fully utilized and will be completely exhausted in the foreseeable future.
