TENDER DESCRIPTION

At the Institute for Quantum Technology in Ulm, a gold sputter target is required for the deposition of gold thin films in a magnetron sputtering system. • Target material and purity: Gold (chemical element Au), purity at least 99.99 % • Target dimensions: Diameter 127 mm, thickness: 3 mm. Calculated required amount of gold: 732.81 g plus possible processing losses. • Mounting of the gold target on a copper backing plate by means of indium bonding, geometry of the copper plate including holes for mounting specified in the attached document "5in membrane backing plate.pdf", thickness 0.25 inch ~= 6 mm. • Billing of the actually used amount of gold at the daily market price at the time of order receipt. To ensure comparability of all offers, please assume a fictitious gold price of 115 Euro / gram for submitting the offer.
