TENDER DESCRIPTION

Due to severe damage to the load-bearing structure, in order to carry out the subsequent structural strengthening measures, many floor coverings in the west wing of Schloss Friedenstein must be removed and temporarily stored. The subject of this invitation to tender are two historical gypsum screed floors with terracotta inlays on the 2nd upper floor, which in parts show considerable prior damage. The essential contents of the present bill of quantities are the restoration-focused, material-conserving dismantling of the floors, cleaning and partial exposure of the surfaces, covering/masking (kaschierung), labelling with numbering and locating the dismantled elements in mapping/croquis plans, documentation of the existing condition and of the measures carried out, as well as packaging and temporary storage of the resulting individual elements. In-house transport services including the supply of transport and storage packaging are part of the contract. The services are to be provided in the period 11/2026 to 03/2027.
