TENDER DESCRIPTION

Due to severe damage to the load-bearing structure, for the following structural strengthening measures many floor coverings in the West wing of Schloss Friedenstein must be removed and temporarily stored. This invitation to tender covers two historical gypsum screed floors with terracotta inlays on the 2nd floor, which in part show significant pre-damage. The essential items of the performance specification are the restoration-oriented, substance-preserving dismantling of the floors, cleaning and partial exposure of the surfaces, covering, labeling with numbering and locating the extension elements in mappings, documentation of the existing condition and the measures carried out, as well as packaging and temporary storage of the resulting individual elements. In-house transport services including the delivery of transport and storage packaging are part of the contract. The services are to be provided in the period from 11/2026 to 03/2027. Processing quantities: total floor area approx. 125 sq m; of this approx. 52 sq m terracotta tiles (approx. 900 individual tiles). A stone restorer with an academic degree must be involved.
