TENDER DESCRIPTION

SBH | Schulbau Hamburg, as the state operation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as SBH), is responsible for planning, constructing, maintaining, and managing school properties according to economic principles while considering educational requirements, and for leasing more than 400 schools to the Authority for School and Vocational Training (BSB). --------------- The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, represented by SBH, plans to extend the Heinrich-Hertz-Schule with a new building (use: cafeteria areas, specialized classrooms, and general teaching rooms). The new building adjoins the existing library to the west, without being functionally connected to it via a passage. The new building reinforces the character of Schulstraße by referencing the existing structure in material, appearance, and form. The main entrance of the new building is clearly centrally located under the three-storey building section. Also in the area of the main entrance is an additional side entrance that allows students to reach the cafeteria by the shortest route.
