TENDER DESCRIPTION
The city of Mayen intends to build a replacement new gymnasium with a cafeteria as well as additional classrooms on the grounds of the St. Veit Primary School in Mayen. The new building is planned as a multi-story building in timber frame construction or solid wood construction. A combined use of sports, cafeteria, and school areas is planned. The new building adjoins the existing school building directly, creating a closed building structure. The building parts partially overlap across two floors, creating a barrier-free connection of the corridor areas between the existing building and the new building. On the ground floor there is a single-field sports hall as well as a cafeteria including the necessary ancillary, storage, technical, and functional rooms. Both the sports hall and the cafeteria are planned as larger, as pillar-free as possible areas, which therefore pose increased demands on structural engineering planning and constructive design.
