TENDER DESCRIPTION

As part of the comprehensive refurbishment of the Hagen–Hamm high-performance rail network, in Bönen the existing level crossing (BÜ) will be replaced by an overpass for rail traffic (EÜ). The railway overpass structure will be constructed from a total of five separate superstructures, each designed as a single-span girder. For tracks 3, 4 and 10, trough bridges with an orthotropic plate will be used, while the superstructures for tracks 1 and 2 will be executed as structures with rolled-steel girders embedded in concrete (WiB). The abutments will be built on an elevated bored-pile foundation with a bearing girder. Due to the high groundwater level, the structure will be founded using overlapping bored-pile walls, which at the same time serve the function of a watertight retaining system for the later road trough construction.
