Sundsvall Energi carries out its main production of district heating and electricity at the Korstaverket plant, where the majority of the heat production takes place through the incineration of waste fuels in solid fuel boiler 5 (F5). The waste facility at Blåberget functions as a central location for the reception, sorting and interim storage of combustible waste. Here, combustible bulky waste, construction and demolition timber, and garden waste are processed by crushing before being transported onward to Korstaverket for use as fuel. The procurement aims to ensure structured and cost-effective handling, reception and transport from the port of waste fuel in order to meet the contracting authority’s needs for waste transportation and fuel supply.
