Neubau Sporthalle Frankenhof (Frankenhalle)

TENDER DESCRIPTION

The planned Frankenhalle is a new build of a 3-court sports hall, intended primarily for school operations of the Schulzentrum am Sund (also known as the Campus am Sund). The current school site is located at the edge of the historic old town, at the transition to Frankenvorstadt. Both districts are densely populated and well served. The “Schulzentrum am Sund” is a Co-operative Comprehensive School (Kooperative Gesamtschule, KGS), in which the regional and upper-secondary (gymnasiale) school sections work together and live side by side on an equal footing within a social and educational network. The objective of the construction project is to build a modern, barrier-free 3-court sports hall for approximately 1,000 students in grades 5 to 12 for the Schulzentrum am Sund. Hansestadt Stralsund plans to build this new 3-court sports hall on a neighbouring plot next to the “Am Sund” school complex.
