TENDER DESCRIPTION

The planned Frankenhalle is a new build of a 3-court sports hall, intended primarily for school operations of the School Centre Am Sund (also called Campus am Sund). The existing school site is located at the edge of the historic old town, at the transition to the Frankenvorstadt. Both districts are populous and well connected. The “School Centre Am Sund” is a Cooperative Comprehensive School (KGS), in which the regional and the grammar school educational tracks work and live together on an equal footing in a social and educational network. The objective of the construction project is the construction of a modern, barrier-free 3-court sports hall for approximately 1,000 students in grades 5 to 12 for the School Centre Am Sund. The Hanseatic City of Stralsund plans to build this new 3-court sports hall on an adjacent plot of land next to the “Am Sund” school centre. The basis for the planning for the new build of a 3-court sports hall is the development of a modern and up-to-date sports hall, taking into account requirements relating to barrier-free accessibility, physical education in schools, remedial instruction, full-day childcare and leisure sports.
