Neubau Sporthalle Frankenhof (Frankenhalle)

TENDER DESCRIPTION

The planned Frankenhalle is a new build of a 3-court sports hall, intended primarily for school operations of the Schulzentrum am Sund (also called Campus am Sund). The existing school site is located at the edge of the historic old town, at the transition to the Frankenvorstadt. Both districts are populous and well connected. The “Schulzentrum am Sund” is a Cooperative Comprehensive School (Kooperative Gesamtschule, KGS), in which the regional and the grammar school sections work together as equals and live in a shared social and educational network. The objective of the construction project is the construction of a modern, barrier-free 3-court sports hall for approximately 1,000 pupils in grades 5 to 12 for the Schulzentrum am Sund. The Hansestadt Stralsund plans to build this new 3-court sports hall on an adjacent plot next to the school campus “Am Sund”.
